Creativity has been a consistent thread throughout my life. I was raised on my parents' great records, which inspired me to become a musician. As a child, I lived in Bergamo, Italy, which sparked my interest in languages and world culture. I am also an avid drawer, sculptor, and photographer, and have won numerous awards for my work.

While attending the University of Oregon, I began playing guitar, started a band called Lincoln Brigade, and signed a contract with Island Records, all within three years. We recorded an album at Big House Studio in New York City and opened for Oasis on their 1st US tour. I went on to travel, live, and work abroad in Spain and Vietnam. I am fluent in Spanish and conversational in Italian, French, and Portuguese. I eventually settled in Brooklyn where I have been since 2003. I taught  English and Spanish for 25 years and left teaching in 2015 to focus on music, visual arts, and writing.

Today, I align my interests by working on a variety of projects. I have worked as a Music Supervisor for MXM on Musical Roots, an advertising campaign designed to attract tourists to the USA through the lens of music. I also produce 1st Place Radio (a podcast about music), and have written over 50 articles about music for a variety of publications. In addition, I care deeply about environmental and social issues and have organized concerts for Greenpeace, the ACLU, All Hands Volunteers, and other charities. Currently, I am producing a video series on the Brooklyn music scene. In all my endeavors, I bring my passion, creativity, and expertise in a wide variety of skill sets.
